Yeah, alright it was a little cold, but so what? It wasn't something new, really. He had been cold before, you know, it wasn't exactly warm back there in space, but this... this was a different kind of cold. There was something about it that made it different from the ever-present, never-changing cold of space. That cold hadn't been uncomfortable, it had just... been there. This cold was painful. It stung and grated at his face, the wind blew right through his clothes and his skin and into his very bones. He shuddered at the violent, icy blast of wind, but trudged relentlessly through the thick snow.
The dark streets of Violet City was deserted. Everyone was inside - in their houses, at the inn or at the PokéCenter - taking shelter from the snow, the cold and the stormy wheather. To be perfectly honest, the bright, warm light shining through the PokéCenter window was tempting, but there was no way in hell he was gonna go there. He didn't want to be with the humans, didn't want to socalize and be nice. And he didn't need the puny little human-things to survive. He was an alien. He was indestructible. He was fine out here on his own. Yeah, sure, it was a little cold maybe, but it wasn't like he was freezing or anything. He had a scarf and a jacket. A nice, warm jacket and that was all he needed.
And that was such a lie. He wasn't fine, he wasn't warm. His toes were numb and aching inside his shoes, throbbing with pain as he wiggled them to get some ciruclation and some heat. His fingers where red and swollen due to the prolonged exposure to the biting cold caused by the lack of gloves or mittens. He'd been outside since the first day he arrived there, and already then it had been cold. He had grown used to the warm summer temperature of Hawaii, and now frost was growing on his bangs. Quite a radical change in enviroment.
The wind was blowing harshly, tugging at Stitch's hair and clothes, along with the icy snowflakes that whirled around, stinging like pins and needles against his face. It forced him to keep his eyes on the ground, should he try to look up he wouldn't see a thing.
He needed somewhere to sleep, some shelter for the wind.
Not long lasted till he found his shelter, and it came in the form of narrow dead end-street, squeezed in between two houses. It was nearly devoid of light, save from the weak glow of one nearby streetlight. He stepped into the dark alley, and closed his eyes. The air was calm in there. Perfect. He slipped of his backpack and deposited it on the snowy ground, leaning back against the cold, brick wall. He could feel the icy, uneven surface through his jacket, and there was a raspy sound as the fabric was pressed against it and dragged downwards.
Finally. Some nice and quiet. No storm in here.
Stitch pulled his legs close to himself. It was... so cold. So. Goddamn. Cold. It wasn't supposed to be this cold. He wasn't supposed to be this cold. He was indestructible goddammit! Bullet-proof! Fire-proof! Cold-proof! It wasn't supposed to feel like this... He wasn't supposed to feel this at all.
He put his forehead to his knees and his hands to his face. It didn't matter that he was artificial, or indestructible. He still needed to sleep. He felt the snow melt beneath him where he sat, the resulting damp being absorbed by his jeans and then turning icy-cold.
He closed his eyes. Sighed. Tried to ignore the discomfort and banish the thoughts of a bed in a warm inn. He was just gonna... sit here.
Sit here still.
And try to sleep.
